AOK felt all the way to Prince George.

Three guys from Abbotsford area, are eating supper (long day's drive from Abbotsford). Surprised when the waitress did not deliver a bill but a message, that our bill was paid by “operation kindness”.

  • Great surprise
  • Evoked discussions about “pay it forward”
  • Interest in going to the web site to share our story.

Also inspired us while walking by Tim’s a few minutes later to order some donuts for 3 RCMP officers, plus another plan for tomorrow.  Pay it forward works.

Thanks from three travelers for brightening up our day.

The dinner that kept on giving.

We had a lot of fun today passing out our Operation Kindness cards. I took two dozen donuts to the teachers and staff at the school where my daycare children attend. I attached a note of appreciation for the good work they do with the children and attached the Pass it on card.

Tonight we went to C-Lovers for dinner and decided to use our next two cards. We chose an older couple that we spotted as we were walking in. We called their waitress over and explained that we would like to pay for their meal and could she please give them the card.  At first she was skeptical and checked with other staff to make sure that it was okay. She delivered the card after the meal and they wanted to know who had paid it. She said that it was a secret. When they left they double-checked with her and said that they would pass it on.

We also chose a father and teenage son behind us. When their waitress delivered the card and said that their meal had been paid for they asked the same question -- who? They were told it was a secret also. Immediately the father asked if he could do the same for someone and she told him that he could. Right before us we got to see it passed forward. The two waitresses also had a lot of fun along with us.

Tiny acts = Big blessing.

When I asked for 3 cards I thought "This will be easy!" But to my surprise, it was harder than I thought. I'm at home most of the time (so where will I find opportunities) and it's been a trying week (so I don't feel like "being kind" right now), and I don't feel well, yada, yada, yada! Then I thought Jesus wouldn't be making excuses, He's the creator of opportunities! I passed out my 3 cards, once in a drive through, once to a friend and once to a lady in the Costco lineup, I let her go ahead, she only had 2 items!  These were little tiny expressions of caring because of my GREAT BIG GOD who loves us more than I know. I've learned from this that however small the act of kindness is, someone is touched, I get blessed, and God gets the glory.  Have a good day!

My story.

During a regular drive-thru coffee/muffin fix Friday, October 9th en-route to work I came to the window to pay and discovered that the lady in the white car ahead of me had already paid. With my receipt I got this card stating the story behind why I received such an unexpected little surprise this morning. What a wonderful idea! Fridays are usually good days anyway, but this just made it that much better! I’m currently brainstorming how I can pass this on! Thank you for the reminder to think of others, even if they are strangers.

Thanks for the opportunity to help.

On October 13 I had to stop by BC Medical Labs for some blood work.  I picked up my number and sat down not paying any attention to who was sitting on either side of me.  The lady to my right said "Do you know me?" and I did. It had been a number of years and it was good to reconnect. I asked her to wait for me while I had my blood work done.  As we talked I learned that she had been laid off from work in June and had found it very difficult to make ends meet as she is a single mom with two teen sons.  Even without a Pass It ON Card in hand it was a wonderful experience for both of us to make a trip to the local Save-On-Foods store and fill a cart full of groceries that would make things a little better this month for this family of three.
